Festivities began with a Hot Air Balloon lift off on Saturday, February 26 and
culminated with a big Leap Year Day Parade, Tuesday, February 29, 2000.
Leap Year babies of all ages rode in the parade. Graham Nash of Crosby,
Stills, Nash and Young
provided the entertainment at the birthday
party. With special influence from Leap Day Baby Susan Nash (wife of
Graham Nash), famed artist, Peter Max designed Leap Year 2000 T-shirt.
It's very cool. Leap Year baby Fernando Machado came form Switzerland
and enjoyed 8 days exploring the area.
